This little tree is so festive and the cutest thing to make for Christmas! I made it two years in a row - it’s so fun and tasty!

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unwrap one puff pastry sheet and place on top of the parchment paper. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute, stir and microwave for another minute, then stir again. Pour the melted chocolate in the center of the dough. Spread the chocolate over the dough in the shape of a triangle. Sprinkle with crushed walnuts. Unwrap another puff pastry sheet and layer on top. Slice out the triangle shape, leaving a rectangular base for the 'Christmas leg'. Cut the triangle into horizontal slices about 1 inch apart from the top to bottom, leaving the middle of the tree intact. Pull the strips and twist them. Spread the Christmas tree with the whisked egg yolk and bake for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, pull apart and enjoy!
