His and Hers Sourdough Toast with Butter-Basted Eggs

To prepare the sourdough toast: Toast two slices of sourdough bread. Top each slice with burrata cheese and sliced avocado. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes.

To make the butter-basted eggs: Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a medium cast iron skillet over medium heat. When the butter foams, carefully add the eggs. As the eggs cook, gently tilt the pan towards you so the butter pools at the edge. Use a spoon to baste the hot butter over the egg whites (avoiding the yolks) until no jiggly white remains, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. For crispier whites, cook for an additional 2 minutes. Pour any remaining browned butter over the cooked eggs for extra flavor. Serve immediately with the prepared sourdough toast.
