1. Rinse and drain all the beans and corn. Begin by adding olive oil to a pot and then adding the chopped onion. Cook over low heat with the lid on, stirring occasionally, until the onion turns golden.
2. Add the ground turkey to the pot with the onion. Turn the heat to medium-high and cook for 5-7 minutes. While cooking, stir and mash up the turkey with a spatula.
3. Next, add in the fire-roasted tomatoes into the pot. Simmer over medium heat with the lid on for 15 minutes.
4. Stir the chili and add the remaining ingredients: the black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, sweet corn, bay leaves, spices, and broth.
5. Bring the chili to a boil, then lower the heat to medium-low. Allow the chili to cook for an additional 20-25 minutes with the lid on.
